cetly (“cetly,” “we,” “us”) is a private-beta platform that helps people plan, price, and grow a restaurant. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). It describes our real, current practice — not a generic template.
This policy applies to anyone who creates a cetly account or otherwise submits personal data to us — restaurant owners, interior designers, and creators alike. By creating an account, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described here; that consent is the legal basis we rely on to process it.
To run the actual features you use — generating names, menus, pricing, brand and interior concepts grounded in your own inputs; connecting you with creators or designers you choose to reach out to; reviewing new accounts during this private beta; and sending you account-related emails (approvals, new leads, proposal updates). We don't use your data for advertising, we don't build ad profiles, and we don't sell it to anyone.
cetly is built on a small number of vetted, reputable service providers who process data on our behalf so the product works — we don't use ad networks, trackers, or data brokers, and we never sell your data. Some of these providers process data outside India; the DPDP Act permits this (India restricts transfer only to specific countries the government separately notifies, and none of our providers are on such a list).
We don't publish the specific names of these providers here, to avoid handing a precise technical blueprint of our systems to anyone who reads this page — but this isn't about hiding anything from you. If you'd like to know exactly who processes your data (for example, for your own compliance or due-diligence purposes), email us at hello.cetly@gmail.com and we'll tell you directly.
Other restaurants, creators, or designers using cetly only ever see the profile fields you've chosen to make visible (e.g. a designer's listed contact details) — never your login email or password.
We use only the essential session cookies our authentication provider needs to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, so the product keeps working the way you'd expect. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
We don't yet have a self-serve export or delete-my-account button — every one of the rights above is handled directly by emailing us (section 8), not through an automated flow.
If you have a complaint or grievance about how your personal data is handled, or want to exercise any right in section 7, contact our Grievance Officer:
Grievance Officer, cetly
Email: hello.cetly@gmail.com
We'll acknowledge and act on your request as promptly as we reasonably can.
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, database-level access controls scoping each account to its own data) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever puts your data at risk, we'll tell you and take the steps the law requires.
cetly is a business tool for people planning or running a restaurant. It's not directed at, and we don't knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18. We don't offer a verifiable-parental-consent mechanism, so cetly isn't available to children.
As cetly grows out of private beta, this policy will change to reflect what we actually do. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever it changes, and flag material changes more prominently.
Questions about this policy or your data: hello.cetly@gmail.com.
